Aniversary Special

Well, my friends, it is time to celebrate my incomplete non-failure at having a blog. I read somewhere once that the great majority of blogs fade into the ether within months, weeks, days, or even hours, of their inception. Here I am, still going strong after one wimpy little year, and I’m pretty proud of it. Here’s to another! And maybe even another after that!

So, anyway, to celebrate, I thought I’d do one of them silly little meme things. Then I thought I’d do a less silly one. Then, finally, I thought I’d just go all out and do 100 things about me (that you never wanted to know)!

    -You were once a boyscout?
-I 100% agree with you about ice cream cake being the best cake, and the crunchies are totally the best part. When I was younger, all of my birthday cakes were ice cream cakes, and we’d order them from Carvel specifically so we could ask for extra crunchies. haha

Laurel Music Camp (which I mentioned here) was held at a boy scout camp. Only boy scouts are allowed to go to boy scout camp. Therefore all attendees, even the girls, must join the boyscouts. They have a special name like “Explorers” or “Adventurers” or something equally lame for boy scouts that aren’t really boy scouts.

    Mmm… Carvel crunchies…

  3. Dave says:

Glad to here you weren’t a boy scout and a brownie like Angel.

  4. dinane says:

    No, dude… I was… That’s what… Yeah. Silly boy.

I totally used to wear my brownie outfit to school on whatever day of the week girl scouts was. Let me assure you that it did not make me cool.

    three things.
hot air balloon rides are offered during the summer in boston (somewhere, i don’t know where… but i wil do it next summer) for not too much money.
ice cream cake really is the best, but definitely only with crunchies.
and we use wordpress for life of fred, so yay.

  6. dinane says:

They had a balloon ride (but not hot-air, a tethered helium or hydrogen balloon) running on the common all summer for like $15. But it’s not the same thing. It goes up just about as high as the floor I work on, spins around a couple times, and goes back down. I can have the same view for free looking out my window at work. Actually, my view also includes the balloon itself… :)
